Welcome to the online baptism page!

Just a few things you should know before registering your child for baptism. Before completing the Online Registration Form, please read through the requirements below. We will be looking forward to celebrating this special day with you.

Requirements

You must be registered in the parish. You may do this at the Recker Road office Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM or at the Information Table at the gym. (If your child is seven years of age or older, please contact richard@smarymag.org / 480-279-6737 for special information. Do not register the child here.)

The time for baptisms are after the 4:30 PM mass on Saturdays and/or after the 9:00 AM mass on Sundays. You will be asked to choose a specific day during the Parent Preparation Session.

Upcoming Baptism and Parent Class Dates

The Parent Preparation is required of all parents and is at 1:15 PM at the Recker Road office (15239 S. Recker Rd between Williams Field Road and Ray Road).

Choosing Godparents

Any godparent that is chosen must be a baptized and confirmed Roman Catholic and actively participating in his/her faith.

  • Only one godparent is required.
  • If two godparents are chosen there must be one male and one female.
  • Along with one practicing Catholic, you may ask a non-Catholic to be a godparent, but he/she will be listed on the parish records as a witness to the baptism.
  • Catholic godparents should contact their parish and request a letter stating that they may serve as a godparent.

Most other questions you may have will probably be addressed at the Parent Preparation Session. However, if you have a question about the Registration Form or godparents, please feel free to contact Richard.
