SACRAMENTS

Mass

We gather as a community for the Mass on both a weekly and daily basis. At the present time our weekend celebrations are: 4:30 PM on Saturday and 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Sundays. Daily Mass is celebrated each weekday (except Thursday) at 8:00 AM at the Chapel of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. The chapel is located off the hospital lobby to the left. The hospital is located at Val Vista Dr. and Pecos Road.

Children preparing for Communion celebrate this sacrament after Easter in conjunction with the celebration of Confirmation. Formation for both sacraments takes place in conjunction with the Religious Education process and in group family neighborhood sessions.

Communion For the Homebound
Our priests and our Ministers of Care will bring Communion to you when you are ill and unable to join us in Sunday worship. Just let us know of your or another's need.

RCIA

For adults and for children over seven years of age who have never celebrated baptism, a special process known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is available. If you have never celebrated baptism and are interested in celebrating baptism in the Catholic church, please give us a call.

Confirmation

Normally celebrated after Easter, the youth who seek Confirmation celebrate this sacrament after preparation of one year. The process begins in the fall and ends with the celebration in the spring. Any child 8 years of age or older and in the third grade is eligible to celebrate this sacrament. Typically the sacrament is celebrated on the same day as the child's First Communion. A preparation process is also available for older children and teens who come to the parish and have never celebrated Confirmation.

A special process is available for Catholic adults who have never celebrated Confirmation and for adults who celebrated baptism in another Christian tradition and who now wish to explore full membership within the Catholic Church. For more information, give us a call (480 279 6737).

Baptisms

Infant Baptisms are celebrated on a monthly basis. We ask that parents attend a preparation session prior to the baptism. To register for infant baptism, please complete the online Registration Form.

Marriage

Marriages are celebrated throughout the year. We ask that the parish be contacted a minimum of six months prior to the date of the marriage.

Reconciliation

This sacrament is available as requested by appointment and is also scheduled each Saturday from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM. First Reconciliation is celebrated by our children prior to the celebration of First Communion. Formation for this sacrament takes place in conjunction with the religious education process and in group sessions.

Annointing of the Sick

Whenever a parishioner is seriously ill or suffers from a chronic debilitating illness, celebration of this sacrament is appropriate. Please contact the office to arrange for a priest to meet with you.
