Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

About Troop 1184

Troop 1184 is a Christian based troop that invites members of all faiths and religions to join us on a fun filled journey throughout the year. We are a multi-level troop serving Girl Scouts from Kindergarten through Seniors' in High School. All levels meet on the same night, time, and place. We join together at the beginning for a flag ceremony, announcements, and prayer. After this we break into our individual Girl Scout level groups; during this time the girls work with girls of their same Grade levels.

The Purpose and mission of the Girl Scout organization is to serve the needs of girls. In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others
