Happy Easter

by Fr. John Clote  |  04/05/2026  |  Weekly Reflection

Dear Parish Family,

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not merely a symbol or an inspiring story; it is a real event in human history. The testimony of the first witnesses and the historical circumstances surrounding it strongly affirm this truth. The Resurrection stands as the defining event of salvation history-the decisive victory by which God delivers the final blow to the powers of sin and death.

The proclamation that galvanized the first disciples, transformed the ancient world, and continues to renew our own is this: the Good News that the Crucified One lives. Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. At the heart of every authentic proclamation of the Gospel is this same Good News. It is also the Good News that gathers us together in faith each Easter. Deep within the human heart there is a longing to share in Christ's victory-to experience in our own lives the power of His Resurrection.

We desire that the Risen Lord accomplish within us a personal renewal -an interior resurrection-by which we are drawn out of our darkness and into the redeeming light of God's grace. On behalf of Fr. Darius, Fr. Nave, and our parish staff and volunteers, I extend to each of you and to your families my heartfelt Easter blessings. May the redeeming light of the Risen Christ illumine our hearts and minds, strengthen our faith, and guide our lives, so that we may always and everywhere reflect the merciful love of God. With every prayer and best wish for a blessed and joyful Easter.

Happy Easter.
