Adult Sacramental Preparation: Confirmation, Communion, and Reconciliation
I am already a baptized Christian, but I’m interested in becoming Catholic. How do I join the Catholic Church?
I was baptized Catholic, but I’ve never been confirmed. What do I need to do to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?
Preparation to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church aims at leading the candidate toward a more intimate union with Jesus Christ, becoming more equipped to intentionally live as his disciples, and participating in his mission to “make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19).
To this end, preparation will strive to awaken the candidate to a more lively sense of belonging to the Catholic Church and to the local community (e.g. St. Mary Magdalene). Preparation will NOT just be about learning what the Church teaches and why in a classroom, but will also include spending time with other Catholics in worship, prayer, fellowship, and service.
The preparation process begins with a short series of inquiry meetings to get to know you and determine how best to meet you where you are and help you to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. This is a year-round process that can begin anytime! Simply contact Lita Martinez to schedule your first Inquiry Meeting.
